To deal with this situation, the software giant comes up with a solution named as Convenience Rollup Package for Windows 7 SP1, the latest service pack for windows 7, and people also called it Windows 7 SP 2

Windows 7 Ultimate Sp2

The taskbar has seen the biggest visual changes, where the old Quick Launch toolbar has been replaced with the ability to pin applications to the taskbar. Buttons for pinned applications are integrated with the task buttons. These buttons also enable Jump Lists to allow easy access to common tasks, and files frequently used with specific applications.[66] The revamped taskbar also allows the reordering of taskbar buttons. To the far right of the system clock is a small rectangular button that serves as the Show desktop icon. By default, hovering over this button makes all visible windows transparent for a quick look at the desktop.[67] In touch-enabled displays such as touch screens, tablet PCs, etc., this button is slightly (8 pixels) wider in order to accommodate being pressed by a finger.[68] Clicking this button minimizes all windows, and clicking it a second time restores them.

Window management in Windows 7 has several new features: Aero Snap maximizes a window when it is dragged to the top, left, or right of the screen.[69] Dragging windows to the left or right edges of the screen allows users to snap software windows to either side of the screen, such that the windows take up half the screen. When a user moves windows that were snapped or maximized using Snap, the system restores their previous state. Snap functions can also be triggered with keyboard shortcuts. Aero Shake hides all inactive windows when the active window's title bar is dragged back and forth rapidly.

Hello,I am having a problem launching Thunderbird immediately after my computer starts. When I double click on Thunderbird, a process is created (usually around 5000k) but it does not open. After about 2 to 3 minutes, Thunderbird will open and works fine and the process size usually stabilizes at around 75,000k to 95,000k. I am not using any extensions or add-ons. Additionally, if I wait 2-3 minutes after my computer is booted to start Thunderbird, it will start fine and continue to start fine for the remainder of the time I am booted. I am running Windows 7 ultimate. One fix that seems to consistently work is to run the program in compatibility mode for Vista SP2, however, running in compatibility mode does change the look and some of the functionality of Thunderbird. I'm not sure why running in compatibility mode "fixes" the problem. I have noticed this same identical "hanging" behavior when I previously used SeaMonkey and when using Firefox. If any additional information is required, please let me know. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Thank you!

All I get is a blue screen and a turning circle for hours and hours, but it never boots. My system restore disk did not work.Do you have a method to repair this with a restore disk for windos 7 pro

Hello there,Well my goal was to do a clean format and reinstall windows to factory setting. I had done that before with the Windows 7 recovery disks that I burned when I first got my Asus laptop. But this time I could not find the recovery program, being fraustrated I tried to restore it using the F9 key, it wanted to restore by making a system image, and then it ended up overwriting the harddrive. Now windows will not boot at all. It goes to a black screen asking for media to boot. Now the question is will your software help me? Also can I still format and reinstall windows to a clean state?

The windows 7 customer service will officially be ended by Microsoft on 14 January 2020. Microsoft soft was asking the users to change to windows 10 for years but now as it looks they are serious. They are officially ending all the Windows 7 distributions by the year 2020.

The feature Snap to Side will make your screen adjustment way easier as compared to the past. You can simply drag the windows and move it side, you can also adjust the window tab automatically by moving it to either left or right side of your screen. Which in result will cover half of your screen or move to the top to make it full screen.

As a part of Patch Tuesday program, Microsoft has released an ultimate collection of hotfixes and updates for Windows 7 SP1 and Server 2008 R2 SP1. Its a single pack which contains 90 hotfixes focused on performance and stability which were released after Service Pack 1 (SP1) so you can consider it as Service Pack 2 (kind of) for Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2. Basically these hotfixes improve overall performance and system reliability of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 based computer system.

\r\n\r\nThe first thing that should stand out is the new taskbar. This is one of the best improvements Microsoft has made--third-party program dock makers are going to have to do some serious innovation when Windows 7 goes public. Besides incorporating the translucent style of Aero, the new taskbar is arguably even better than the Mac OS X dock. It features pinned programs using large, easy-to-see icons. Mouse over one and all windows associated with that program appear in preview. Mouse over one of those preview panes to reveal an X to close the window. Hover over the preview to show a full-size preview of the program, or click on the window to bring it to the front. Because of the button size, people with touch screens should find it especially easy to use.\r\n

\r\n\r\nResizing programs has been simplified and improved by the capability to drag a window's title bar. Drag a program window to the top of your monitor to expand it to full screen. If you want to work in two windows simultaneously, drag one to the left edge and one to the right edge of your screen, and they'll automatically resize to half the width of your monitor. Dragging a program away from the top or sides will return it to its original size. This is an entirely new feature in Windows 7, but it should prove easy to adopt because it mimics and expands on the maximize/restore button that people have been resizing windows with since Windows 95.\r\n
